Every year ArtCar Fest showcases the amazing films of Harrod Blank, which have documented the ArtCar world for the past ten years. Don't miss the classic ArtCar film "Wild Wheels", A 64 Minute feature documentary reviewed below.

Also playing: Harrod's next movie - "Driving the Dream."

Both "Wild Wheels" and "Driving the Dream" describe the ArtCar world from the artists' perspectives. These movies are spell binding and heartwarming, and form the most accurate and articulate presentation of the ArtCar medium available today. Many have seen these award winning films on PBS and National Geographic television and been inspired by them. ArtCar Fest also shows other films relating to ArtCars and their brethren, including "Idling Brando" by Angelo Guglielmo; "Visions of Paradise" by Irving Saraf & Allie Light; and films like "The Maestro: King of Cowboy Artists" by the great documentarian, Les Blank.

In addition to these films there will be our amazing fashion show and incredible performances from the Bay Area's best such as Dr. Howland Owl; Sebastian Melmoth; Stan the World's Loudest Man; and some of the great Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

Last but not least you'll be able to meet and greet the wonderful ArtCar artists themselves in person. They're an amicable lot from every vocation, sex, creed, and background from all over the world, and they want to meet you!

Wild Wheels reviewed by Leonard Maltin
Starring Harrod Blank, Lisa Law, W C Rice, H L Gandy, Ron Snow

Must be seen to be truly appreciated -- interviews with drivers who own these wild vehicles are a continuing source of entertainment. Highlights include the Grass-Car, the Cowasaki (cowhide-covered motorcycle), the Hippomobile, and a car covered entirely with religious crucifixes. The director is son of documentary filmmaker Les Blank. (1992, Rated NR)
